Documounts sells several different types of backing boards that you can use to mount your artwork or photography.  We sell archival backing boards, standard backing boards, and adhesive backing boards.  The type of backing boards that are best for you will depend on what you are mounting.

• Archival backing boards are the top-quality choice if you need to mount original, one-of-a-kind artwork or photography.  They are also an ideal choice for mounting limited edition reproductions.  In short, if you are mounting something that you would like to last for generations, then use an archival backing boards that will protect and preserve your artwork or photographs.

Archival backing boards carried by Documounts include:

• • Bainbridge foam core, available in thicknesses of 1/8” or 3/16”
  • Bainbridge Artcare 4 ply white mounting board

• pH neutral backing boards are a good mounting choice if you are mounting limited edition reproductions, such as giclees or photographs.

pH neutral backing boards offered by Documounts include:

• Foam core, available in thicknesses of 1/8” or 3/16”
• Bainbridge 2UB chip board, 1/16” thick
• Bainbridge 4UB chip board, 3/32” thick

• Adhesive backing boards should only be used when mounting inexpensive prints and posters.  Once you firmly adhere the artwork to the adhesive backing board, the attachment will become permanent and it will be difficult to remove the artwork without causing damage.

Adhesive backing boards are available from Documounts as follows:

• Adhesive mounting board, 1/16” thick
• Adhesive foam core, 3/16” thick

When you buy 4 or more of the same custom cut backing boards from Documounts, you qualify for a volume discount.  When you buy more than that, the discount will get even bigger.  The more you buy, the more you save!  This is ideal for artists and photographers who need to buy a lot of backing boards to mount their artwork to sell at art galleries and art festivals.
