Documounts offers discount mats in three different levels of quality:
- Archival discount mats for conservation purposes, which are ideal for original, one-of-a-kind works of art and limited edition prints.
- pH neutral discount mats which are temporarily acid free, which are a good choice for open edition reproductions, such as giclees, photographs and posters.
- economy discount mats which have a buffered surface but acidic cores, which are an inexpensive solution for matting open edition prints, decorative framing and general presentation.
Our discount mats are offered in a wide range of over 100 colors. Our selection of discount mats includes solid core, white core, and black core discount mats. Most of our discount mats are 4 ply, which means that they are 1/16” thick. We also offer discount mats that are 6 ply and 8 ply.
