All full sheets are approximately 32 x 40. They arrive to us not quite exact. If it's important that you have your full sheet exactly 32x40, please order it as a blank in custom mountboards. Because of shipping restrictions there is a minimum order of 10 full sheets. You can, however, combine with matboards to reach the minimum. There is a 10% discount when you get 11 or more of the same Full Sheet Mount Boards. Please read below for more information about the kinds of mountboards we carry.

Foam Core Board Foam core board is lighter and stronger then most paper based mountboards. Foam core is ideal for artists selling their work unframed in a mat and bag and can also give more support for larger frames and unframed pieces, without adding too much weight. Most foam boards are available in both 1/8" and 3/16" thicknesses in each category and are the same price. All foam backing products are supplied by Nielsen-Bainbridge. Premium Artcare Archival Foam Core : N-B Artcare Foam Core is the only foam core that is 100% archival. Not only are the surface papers archival, but N-B’s special MicroChamber® technology makes the inner foam core archival as well. Archival-Standard Foam Core: This foam board has archival surface papers and a standard foam core. Standard Foam Core : This foam board has smooth clay-coated surface papers and a standard foam core. Black Artcare Archival Free Foam Core: N-B Artcare Foam Core with the MicroChamber® technology in black. Black surface papers and black foam core. 100% archival. 3/16" only. Black Standard Foam Core Black: Standard foam core. Available only in 3/16" thickness. Adhesive Foam Core : Standard adhesive foam core. One side of the foam board is self-sticking. Available only in 3/16" thickness. Mounting Board If you want a paper based backing board, Documounts provides several options ranging from basic to archival. Some people prefer a paper backing instead of foam if they are trying to save space in their matted bags or if a frame depth is on the shallow side. Economy Mat Backing: This mounting board is the same thickness of a mat (1/16"). It’s the most basic and least expensive mat backing available. It’s white surface papers are buffered to be pH neutral. Most recently this has replaced the 2UB board from Bainbridge. 4UB Backing: This is a double thick mounting board (about 1/8" thick). It’s very strong and sturdy. White surface papers are buffered to be pH neutral. 4UB is good for mounting larger pieces when foam board is too thick. Alphamount Artcare Mounting Board: This mounting board is the same thickness as a mat (1/16") and is completely archival. Adhesive Mounting Board: This Crescent mounting board is the same thickness as a mat (1/16"). One side of board is self-sticking. Good from mounting non-archival projects. Art and Presentation Boards Full Sheet Art, Presentation and Illustration Boards are sold under Mounting Board.
Some other things to know: There is 5.00 per box oversize fee for all full sheets and anything over 54 united inches. If you are east of the rockies your shipping costs could be more. If you would like to find out more please call or email customer service. We do the best to protect the full sheets for shipping. Corners may come a little bent or dented. If you are cutting into smaller sizes and need to use the whole board we recommend getting blank matboards (no opening, chopped to the size you want). You can get these in the matboards section.
