| Standard Foam Core | Foam Core looks great in a bag and customers respond to it more. Use this foam core for any bagged and matted prints, or for framing prints. Surface papers are pH neutral buffered. 1/8" or 3/16". Comes in White or Black. | |
| Standard Mounting Board | Mounting boards are good when you don't need as much support for backing or when you're trying to keep you cost down. The Economy Backing Board is as thick as a mat (1/16") and the 4UB is a rigid chipboard at 1/8" thick. Both are good for prints. Surface papers in pH neutral. | |
| Our three offerings for Art and Illustration Boards are not available in custom sizes, but are sold in packs of certain sizes. Although they don't offer the most variety of sizes, these boards are a wondereful multi-use board. All boards are textured on one side for using many medias on. You can do your artwork on these boards as well as use them for mounting or presentation. Ultra Black 8 is a dark black board that is black all the way through. Works great for art on one side and presentation on the other. The Illustration board and the Rag Illustration board are great boards for creating artwork and can also be used for presentationa nd mounting. Find out more about Art and Presentation Boards. | ||
We have two options for mounting boards that are all adhesive on one side. You can get the Adhesive Mounting Board (1/16" thick) or the 3/16" Adhesive Foam Board. Adhesive board is best for when you need a really flat presentation of artwork. Adhesive board is in no way archival and is best used on open edition art. Adhesive mounting board is very high tack and can be tricky to use. See Documounts 101 for more tips on working with adhesive mounting board. | ||
